Product Owner (f/m/d)

We are looking for a committed and structured Product Owner to strengthen our agile development team.
As a Product Owner, you will be responsible for technical implementation in close collaboration with the development team. You will manage the product backlog, translate product strategy into actionable user stories, and ensure smooth, efficient, and quality-driven execution by the team.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and prioritize the product backlog at story and task level in close coordination with the development team
• Translate epics and requirements into concrete user stories with clear acceptance criteria
• Continuously align with product managers to understand and correctly reflect strategic goals in the backlog and ensure the desired outcomes are achieved
• Understand the strategic objectives behind epics and communicate the necessary context to the development team
• Collaborate closely with developers, designers, and QA to deliver product increments successfully
• Participate in and facilitate agile ceremonies (refinement, sprint planning, reviews, retrospectives, daily stand-ups)
• Make decisions regarding priorities, scope, and trade-offs together with product management or business stakeholders
• Monitor implementation progress and team velocity and continuously improve our processes

Required Qualifications

• Several years of experience as a Product Owner or in a similar role in an agile environment
• Strong knowledge of agile methodologies and the software development process, especially in writing and prioritizing user stories and backlog management
• Experience with tools such as Jira, Confluence, Miro, or similar
• Excellent structured communication skills with developer teams, UX, QA, and stakeholders in both German and English
• Strong execution focus with an emphasis on delivery, quality, and continuous improvement
• Experience in stakeholder management
• A team player with a proactive, solution-oriented, and collaborative working style
• Very good written and spoken German and English skills
